Why do Eye Yoga ?


Eyes are the most important of our 5 senses and are being overused with the numerous screen-related activities.

The lack of eye movement and reduced blinking leads to dry and tired eyes as well as other optical ailments. 

However, Eye Yoga is much more than just eye exercises - we look at posture, lighting, nutrition, and the levels of stress and strain. By doing light adjustments to your diet and practical exercises for your eyes and nervous system, eyes regain their vitality.

My personal experience with eye yoga ? Since the age of 50, I don't need reading glasses!

Individual sessions can go from 30 to 45 minutes and a suggested frequency is at least 1x week for 1 to 2 months.

Eye Yoga doesn't guarantee an improvement for an aged myopia issue however with daily discipline, you can see an improvement of 0.5 to 1.0 over 9 to 12 months (this was my case)

Eye Yoga is complimentary to traditional eye treatments and it can reduce floaters with proper discipline in exercises andn nutrition. However, it remains important to have a regular eye check-up with an ophthalmologist.

Eye Yoga will definitely help with AMD however it will take time and personal commitment. For retinal issues, please book a free call with your Eye Yoga therapist in order to discuss the gravity of the retinal state.

Yes it will but once again, it depends on your commitment to the daily practice and diet adjustment. It is advised to keep in touch with your Eye Yoga therapist to see how to adjust your treatment and life style.

If your headaches and fatigue are due to long screen exposure, then Eye Yoga is really necessary before you develop chronic dry eye syndrome. Headaches are a serious sign that you need to change your habits. Your Eye Yoga therapist will advise you accordingly.

Eye Yoga is a non-intrusive modality that improves optical elasticity, blood flow and vitalises your optical sphere. It is very useful to release daily stress as well and improve mental wellbeing. There is no medical proof that Eye Yoga can have an adverse effect on your eyes. If you have any fears on its impact, it is advised to first speak openly to your Eye Yoga therapist and decide thereafter if it's suitable to you.
